Lila's tumor was operated on on Friday. It hadn't penetrated the brain stem, like they'd feared. It'd partially calcified, so it also came out easier than they'd expected. The doctors used the word "miracle" on several occasions. They say she is 2 days ahead of schedule in her recovery. She is now out of the ICU and in her own room where her parents can stay with her. She's making eye contact with her family and they've been able to hold her and talk to her. The next step is to check her gag reflexes and sucking abilities and get her off the feeding tubes and back on a bottle. She's doing GREAT! Don't ever let anyone tell you that prayers don't work and that there's no such thing as a miracle! Thanks for everyone's support!
